At the Movies: Mean Girls

Mean GirlsMore back to school movies!

Cady (Lindsay Lohan) has always been home-schooled while living with her parents in Africa, but now that she's sixteen her mother has accepted a job at Northwester University and Cady find herself attending a regular school for the first time ever.

Needless to say that Cady is woefully unprepared for high school full of cliques and rules she just doesn't understand. After a disastrous first day, Cady befriends with artsy girl Janis (Lizzy Caplan) and too-gay-to-live Damian (Daniel Franzese), who offer her some guidance to navigate their school... up until Cady gets noticed by the prettiest, most popular girls of the school: the Plastics, lead by fabulously evil Regina George (Rachel McAdams).

Since Janis has a bit of a vendetta against Regina, she convinces Cady to make friends with Regina and her clique, so they - Janis, Cady and Damian - can get some revenge. However, Cady was not counting in sort of liking Regina, Karen and Rachel, on liking popularity and on falling for Regina's ex Aaron Samuels.

I love this movie, I watch it all the time. Funny thing, when I first saw the movie I didn't think that Aaron was THAT cute, but each time I watch it I like him more. This is one movie that can always make laugh and sort of miss Prep School a bit.
